About 3 months ago, I was able to change icons for applications, now the tab is missing in Properties.

When I right click on .dll, .chm, .config, .txt, etc. I get "Change Icon" in the context menu, but right clicking on .exe, and there's no such entry.

Win7 Home Premium 64bit.

I've read a few posts where folks are having the same or similar problems, but have found no answers or suggestions. Anyone know what's going on, and how to fix it?

Thanks

After several attempts to figure out why Logon Studio will not work on my new computer, Stardock Support has given up. But I would really like to use the program, so I'm here looking for help. Probably where I should have come in the first place.

Doesn't matter what logon I select, when I hit Apply, the default logon screen remains.

Disabling Anti-Virus doesn't help. Running sfc /scannow didn't help. stardock_access.bat, didn't help. Using odnt_zapper.exe, and reinstalling didn't help.

Anyone have any ideas?

My specs.........

OS  = Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) (build 7600)

Computer = HP Pavilion p6310y

Processor = 2.80 Ghz AMD Athlon II X4 630

RAM = 6 GB 1,066MHz DDR3

Video Adaptor = NVIDIA GeForce 9100

Until the option to save my configuration is added to RC (not holding my breath), I'll do with out it. I'm tired of losing everything I've setup for no apparent reason. ratchin'-frackin'-packalomer!! :(

Wondering if anyone else has this problem.

PSP-X will become sluggish, mouse moves like it's stuck in molasses, and I start having problems with explorer.exe as well. I thought it was a bug in PSP-X.

Then one day I wanted to try an app called Folder Guide, so I unloaded RC for the test.
I haven't used RC for months now, because my PSP-X (and the explorer.exe) problems don't happened when RC isn't running........

Has anyone that uses PSP-X and RC noticed anything like this?

Just a little note to uploaders. I see this a lot of this in the ObjectDock, Misc Icon, and other libraries.

There is no need to include the preview image in the zip file. Nobody needs it, and in some cases it's much larger than the actual icon. Also check your zips for "Thumbs.db". It's of no use to anyone.

I notice this stuff, because I'm on dialup, and it does nothing but slow me down when in the Moderator queue, I must download file after file, that contains these extra bits.
A good example.... today I downloaded a submission for testing. It was just over 300kb...... no big deal, but inside the zip, is a Thumbs.db, over 100kb. (I've seen cases where the extra stuff was twice the size of the submission) 100kb here, 50kb there, and before long, it starts to add up. Which brings up another point. This past weekend, we had a server problem. Submissions weren't getting through, because there was no more disc space on the upload server. I wonder how much space is being eaten up here by these unnecessary files.

Anyway..... just a friendly reminder.... be kind to those of us on dialup, and people with download caps. :CONGRAT:

Another great idea brought to you by a bunch of bureaucrats in D.C..... Now we can see all U.S. drivers licenses on the internet. Go to the website and do a search for your name. You can have it removed from public view.

This has been going on for quite a while. It's difficult to help people, when you don't know what's being said....

I had to share this with you good people......

Mmm is a free utility for modifing your context menus.
Mmm+ does even more... as of last night, it works with ObjectDock, and ObjectDockPlus. :)

Mmm is for XP only http://www.hace.us-inc.com/mmm.shtml
But there's an older version of the program that works with Win9x, and W2k http://www.hace.us-inc.com/cmcf.shtml

My wife is trying to install XP on daughters machine. She's having problems, so now I'm involved also. ;)
It's a PII 500MHz, 640MB RAM. I've had XP on a slower machine, so this should work. The trouble is, everytime we get to the screen that says "Press ENTER to install XP", we press enter, and the computer reboots. It's an endless loop. We have removed all cards except video, changed HardDrive, changed CD ROM, reset CMOS, reset BIOS, and a few things I don't remember...... nothing makes any difference.
I don't know what info may or may not be important, so here's what we're working with.......
Jetway 693AS motherboard, Pheonix BIOS. SIS 6326 8M AGP video. Western Digital HD.

Any suggestions? Do I need to supply more info? (just let me know what)
Thanks in advanced.....
